UPSC CSE Prelims Exam 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 on May 25, 2025. The UPSC CSE prelims examination will be conducted in two different shifts — first shift will take place from 9.30 am to 11: 30 am and the next shift will take place from 2.30 pm to 4: 30 pm.
The candidates are advised to reach the examination centres early as the entry to the exam centre will be closed 30 minutes before the exam commencement. UPSC aspirants must note that they will have to carry the hard copies of the CSE prelims admit cards and a black ballpoint pen to the exam centre. To ensure a smooth UPSC examination experience, candidates must strictly follow the instructions issued by the Commission.
UPSC CSE Prelims Exam 2025: Avoid Banned Items
The aspirants are advised to not carry any banned item to the examination centre as the venue supervisor will not make any arrangement for those items at teh centre. In case, a candidate brings any such banned items, he or she will be responsible for keeping those items outside the exam centre as the Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: Key Documents to carry
1. Candidates must carry their E-Admit card (Printout): It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry their hall tickets otherwise candidates will not be permitted to sit for the exam.
2. Valid ID Proof: The candidates must carry thier vaild ID proof to the examination centre and ID must match the details provided in the hall ticket.
3. Phitographs (If neccessary): The candidates whose photograph is unclear on the hall ticket are advised to carry their passport size photographs to the exam centre, one for each session – along with an undertaking.
4. Black Ballpoint Pen: The UPSC aspirants must carry a black ballpoint pen to write their UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 exam.
5. Simple Wrist Watxch: The UPSC aspirants are allowede to carry a simple watch to the exam centre, note no smart watches are allowed to take inside the examination centres.
UPSC CSE Prelims Exam 2025: Prohibited items at exam venue
1. Handbags, bags or any luggage
2. Expensive and valuable items
3. Mobile phones (even switched off)
4. Any digital device such as smart watches are prohibited
5. No notes, books or any printed material is allowed
6. Any watch with a special feature or digital capability
UPSC Prelims 2025: Shift Timings
Morning Session: 9:30 am– Entry closes at 9 am
Afternoon Session: 2:30 pm– Entry closes at 2 pm
In case of any error or discrepancy in candidate's details and information (name, photograph, QR code, etc.) in the hall ticket, the same must be immediately reported to the Commission by email- uscsp-upsc@nic.in.
