UPSC Success Stories: Anju Sharma, an IAS officer, faced setbacks in the Class 10 and 12 exams but turned her failures into successes. Despite failing in Economics in Class 12 and pre-boards in Chemistry, she excelled in other subjects. She learned from these experiences and transformed them into stepping stones for her future.
During a tough moment, her mother's support became crucial. Anju realised the importance of avoiding last-minute studies. Her proactive approach in college led her to become a gold medalist in her BSc and MBA from Jaipur.
Her strategy of early preparation helped her crack the UPSC exam in her first attempt, earning her a spot among the IAS toppers. Joining as an Assistant Collector in 1991, she currently serves as the Principal Secretary to the Government Education Department in Gandhinagar.
Throughout her three-decade career, she held various significant roles, contributing to sectors like District Collector, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and NRHM. Anju Sharma's journey highlights resilience and the value of early preparation in achieving success.
