VTU 6th Semester Result 2026: Visvesvaraya Technological University has created a new benchmark in examination management by announcing the results of its sixth-semester B.E. and B.Tech examinations just five minutes after the exams concluded.
The university declared the results for 60,856 students at 5:35 PM, only five minutes after the examination ended at 5:30 PM on Tuesday. Officials said the achievement was made possible through digital evaluation systems and extensive preparation by university staff and affiliated colleges.
Digital Evaluation Helps Create New Record
University officials said the rapid result declaration was possible due to the adoption of advanced digital evaluation methods and seamless coordination between the examination department and colleges. The evaluation process was completed 21 days earlier than in previous years.
The sixth semester examinations recorded an overall pass percentage of 76.84 per cent, reflecting both academic performance and the efficiency of the examination process implemented by the university.
University Officials Credit Planning and Teamwork
The results were jointly released by Prof. S. Vidyashankar and Prof. U.J. Ujwal. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said students eagerly wait for their examination results, prompting the university to prioritize faster announcements.
He credited detailed planning, support from the university administration, examination section staff and affiliated institutions for helping achieve the milestone. Officials described the initiative as a major step towards improving student services.
VTU Has Consistently Reduced Result Processing Time
The university has steadily reduced the time required to declare engineering examination results over the past few years. Earlier this year, VTU had announced final-year engineering results for more than 56,000 students within ten minutes of the examination ending.
Officials noted that the latest achievement represents a significant improvement compared to previous years when students often had to wait several days for results to be published.
