WBSEDCL Admit Card 2026: Selection Process
A total of 447 vacancies have been notified. The process for the selection of the candidates covers a written examination, interview, and verification of important documents of the shortlisted candidates.
The written test will include domain knowledge, English, quantitative aptitude, computer proficiency, and a vernacular language section. The vernacular test will be in Bengali or Nepali, while the rest of the other sections will be in English.
WBSEDCL JE and Assistant Manager exam pattern:
The written examination will contain 85 questions and each question will carry one mark. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes. The paper will have negative marking, wherein 0.33 marks for every incorrect response will be deducted.
This includes the section-wise distribution of marks, consisting of 50 marks for domain knowledge, 5 marks for English, 10 marks for quantitative aptitude, 10 marks for computer proficiency, and 10 marks for the test of vernacular language, for which the candidates need to secure the specified marks for the relevant section mentioned by WBSEDCL.
