Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024 Results Live Updates: The results for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will be announced today, alongside 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. The elections to elect the 175 members of the state assembly were held on May 13, simultaneously with phase four of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. The current assembly's term runs from June 12, 2019, and it is slated to end on June 11, 2024.

Despite the looming threat of violence, Andhra Pradesh assembly elections recorded a voter turnout of 81.86 per cent. This marked an almost 2 per cent increase compared to the previous general elections in the state held in 2019, which many psephologists claimed indicated the wind of change.

The major parties in contention are the YSRCP, led by incumbent Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the TDP, under N Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP has formed alliances with the Jana Sena Party and the BJP, while the Congress, under YS Sharmila, has partnered with the CPM and CPI.

In the 2019 elections, the YSRCP achieved a landslide victory with 151 seats, appointing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister. The TDP won 23 seats, the JSP secured one and neither the BJP nor Congress managed to win any seats. This was a significant shift from the 2014 elections where the TDP-BJP alliance won 106 seats compared to the YSRCP's 67 seats.
