The Congress party is expected to retain power with a clear majority in the Chhattisgarh Assembly election by winning within a range of 46-56 seats out of the 90 seats, several exit polls indicated on Thursday evening. If the Bhupesh Baghel-led government wins this election, it will provide a significant boost for the Congress ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The News24-Today's Chanakya gives the old party 57 seats in the 90-member Assembly, where the majority mark is 46. It has predicterd that the  BJP may win 33 seats while others may win between 0-3 seats. 

India Today-Axis My India Exit Polls 2023 predictions:

The India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll precited that Congress is expected to win 4–50 seats, while BJP may get between 36-46 seats and others may win only 1-5 seats. 

Jan Ki Baat Exit Polls 2023 Predictions: 

Another agency Jan Ki Baat in their exit poll predicted that Congress is likely to retain the state as they are expected to win 42-53 seats in Chhattisgarh. It has predicted that the BJP may get between 34-and 45 seats.  

India TV-CNX Exit Poll 2023 Predictions: 

Within the exit polls for Chhattisgarh are out, the India TV-CNX Exit Poll indicated that Congress is going to retain power by winning with a range of 46-56 seats out of 90. While the BJP is expected to get between 30-40 seats others may win only 3- 5 seats.

Times Now Exit Poll 2023 Predictions: 

Times Now gave as many as 48-56 seats to the Congress and 32-40 to the BJP. While it predicted that others may get 2 to 4 seats. 

Meanwhile, other exit polls gave Congress an advantage but indicated that it may not secure a majority. According to ABP News-C Voter, the Congress will win between 41 and 53 seats, and the BJP 36-48.

In the 2018 Chhattisgarh Assembly polls, the Congress received unprecedented victory by winning 68 seats out of 90, putting a decisive end to BJP's 15-year regime.
