Rampur Assembly Election 2023: The elections to the 90 Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh will be held later this year. The Election Commission has announced that the elections in the state of Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases, the first phase will be held on November 7 for 20 seats and the second phase will be held on November 17 for the 70 other state assembly seats.
The Rampur constituency is one among the 90 Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh. Rampur is a Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of the Korba Lok Sabha constituency. It falls in the Korba district and North region of Chhattisgarh and is commonly categorised as a rural seat.
The total electorate encompassing the Rampur constituency comprises 201,547 eligible voters. This count is composed of 100,103 male voters and 101,444 female voters, as per the 2018 date of the Election Commission.

In the 2018 Rampur assembly elections, Nanki Ram Kanwar from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat by defeating Phool Singh Rathiya from Janta Congress Chhattisgarh JCC(J) by securing a total of 65,048 votes, which accounted for 38.72% vote rate.
Rampur Election 2013, 2008
In the 2013 elections, Shyam Lal Kanwar from Congress won the seat by defeating Nanki Ram Kanwar from BJP with a margin of 9,915 votes. While in the 2008 elections, Nankiram Kanwar from BJP won the assembly elections with a total of 58,415 votes, which accounted for 45.96% of the vote margin.
