Jammu Kashmir Lok Sabha Election 2024 Winner List: Jammu-Kashmir witnessed its first general election since the abrogation of Article 370. The voting here took place in five stages, from April 19 to May 20. It has a total of five Lok Sabha constituencies. It includes Udhampur, Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag-Rajouri.

The election here witnessed a tough electoral battle between the candidates of the INDIA bloc and the NDA alliance led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). INDIA bloc consisted of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and the Congress. It had fielded its candidate in all five seats, with the JKNC contesting three and the Congress two seats. Meanwhile, the BJP fielded candidates in two seats: Union Minister Jitendra Singh from Udhampur and sitting MP Jugal Kishore Sharma from Jammu.

The Combined Voter Turnout (VTR) at the polling stations for the entire Union Territory (5 Lok Sabha seats) was 58.46 % in the General Elections 2024.

The Lok Sabha election is considered to be very important in Jammu-Kashmir as the valley witnessed its first electoral event after the abrogation of Article 370 and the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019. Ladakh, formerly part of the state, is now a separate union territory.

2019 General Election

In 2019, the BJP secured 46.24 per cent vote share and won three out of six seats, while the National Conference won three seats.
