Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: The state of Karnataka is all set to conduct elections in the 224-member Legislative Assembly on May 10 while the results for the high-stake polls will be declared on May 13. The state will witness a power tussle between the two main parties comprising the opposition Congress and the party in power BJP.

C. V. Raman Nagar is one of the 224 assembly segments across the 31 districts in Karnataka. CV Raman Nagar is an assembly constituency in Bangalore's eastern part. The constituency is named after prominent Indian scientist CV Raman, who was awarded the Bharat Ratna and is surrounded by Indiranagar, Kaggadaspur, and Baiyappanahalli. It is an upmarket area and it is also known as Greater Indiranagar.

C. V. Raman Nagar Assembly Election 2023:

This year, the BJP has fielded S. Raghu who has won the constituency three times in a row. Meanwhile, Congress has fielded S. Anand Kumar. While Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Mohan Dasari. JD(S) is yet to announce the name of its candidate for the C.V. Raman Nagar seat.

There are a total of 2,60,559 voters in the constituency that include general voters, NRI voters, and service voters. Amongst the general voters 1,37,650 are male, 1,22,811 female, and 98 others. The electorate s*x ratio in the constituency is 89.22 per cent and the approximate literacy rate is 90 per cent.

C. V. Raman Nagar Assembly Election 2018:

During the 2018 Karnataka Assembly election, BJP's S Raghu won the constituency with as many as 58,887 votes with a margin of 12,227 votes. The voting rate was 44.61 per cent. R. Sampath Raj of the Congress was the runner-up with 46,660 votes and a vote rate of 35.35 per cent. P. Ramesh of the JD (S) received only 20,478 votes.
