The Karnataka assembly election in 2023 is projected to be a highly competitive affair, with major political parties preparing to campaign. Dasarahalli is a constituency with a diverse population, consisting of both urban and rural areas but is considered as the Bangalore Rural district. The constituency is known for its industrial growth and its contribution to the state's economy.
The opposition Indian National Congress (INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will compete against the ruling Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S) in Bangalore's Dasarahalli constituency. For the first time, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will run in the elections.
Dasarahalli Assembly Election 2023:
The JD(S) has fielded incumbent MLA R.Manjunatha, while the BJP has chosen experienced leader S Muniraju. The Congress has fielded a new candidate named Dhanajaya Gangadharaiah, while the AAP has fielded Keerthan Kumar for the first time.
The provision of basic facilities like water and electricity, as well as infrastructural development, are the main concerns that are anticipated to dominate the election campaign in Dasarahalli.
Dasarahalli Assembly Election 2018:
R.manjunatha, a JD(S) candidate, won the assembly election in 2018 with a margin of 10,675 votes. S Muniraju of the BJP ended second with a vote rate of 39 percent, while P.N. Krishnamurthy of the Congress came third with a vote rate of 15 percent.
