Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: The elections to the 224-member Karnataka legislative assembly will take place next month on May 10, 2023, while the results will be announced on May 13, 2023. The southern state of Karnataka is all set to host the pivotal election between the national parties of the country including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Janata Dal JD(S) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Holenarasipur is one of the 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka state. It is a General category assembly seat. It is situated in Hassan district and is one of the 8 assembly segments of Hasan Parliament Seat. The winning party must have 113 seats to form the government out of 224 seats in this constituency.
Holenarasipur Assembly Election 2023
This year, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Devaraje Gowda as their candidate for the assembly elections, Shreyas M Patel from Indian National Congress (INC), Shivaswamy from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and HD Revanna from Janata Dal JD(S) will witness a high-stake contest for Holenarasipur assembly of Karnataka.
H D Revanna from JD(s) has been a consecutive winner in the Holenarasipur constituency in the 2018, 2013, 2008 and 2004 assembly elections. Meanwhile, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Prajwal Revanna won from Hassan Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with a margin of 141324 votes by defeating Manju A of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Holenarasipur Assembly Election 2018
In 2018, HD Revanna of the Janata Dal won the assembly seat by defeating Manjegowda BP of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 43,832 votes. On the other hand, MN Raju from Bharatiya Janata Party secured the third position with a margin of 3,667 votes.
