Karnataka Election Result 2023: Elections for the 224 members of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly took place on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13. The ruling BJP is putting out an all-out effort to win as many seats from Karnataka as it can in order to secure a majority on its own as Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is a native of the area. Congress and the BJP are expected to square off directly in this region, as the JD(S) is still finding it difficult to gain traction.

In the Chikmagalur district and Central Karnataka area of Karnataka, Tarikere (Gen) is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency that is a component of the Udupi Chikmagalur Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.

Tarikere Assembly Elections 2023:

Tarikere is an assembly constituency in Karnataka. There are a total of 1,80,224 voters in the constituency that include general voters, NRI voters and service voters. Amongst the general voters 91,265 are male, 88,884 female and 9 others. The electorate s*x ratio in the constituency is 97.32 and the approximate literacy rate is 77%.

For the 2023 Tarikere Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded an Indian Politician and Agriculturist from the state of Karnataka, DS Suresh, while from Congress, it is a G.H. Srinivasa, a previous MLA from the Tarikere assembly constituency. He is an Independent member who served in the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha.

Tarikere Assembly Elections 2018:

In 2018, the Bharatiya Janata Party won this electoral district.The Karnataka State district of Chikkamagaluru includes Tarikere.

In the 2013 Karnataka Assembly Elections, INC won this seat by a margin of 899 votes (0.72%), garnering 28.72% of the total votes cast. In 2013, 78.02% of eligible voters cast ballots in this seat.

In the 2008 Assembly Elections, the BJP won this seat by a margin of 18,419 votes (16.73%), earning 47.38% of the total votes cast. Voter turnout for this seat in the 2018 election was 81.07%.
