Google's Most Searched Movies 2023: This year has particularly been a grand one for the Indian cinema as they set fire to the box office. While the year began with the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan only made it better. Even South Indian films like Leo and Varisu managed to impress the masses. Globally, Barbie and Oppenheimer's box office clash left everyone stunned.
While many blockbusters made it to the list of top 10 most searched movies on Google this year, two of Shah Rukh Khan's films among three Indian films also found their place. Check out which are they-
Jawan
Directed by Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan became the talk of the town when it released in September. It earned a box office collection of ₹1160 crore worldwide and also earned accolades from the critics. Jawan ranked third on the most searched movies list of this year, just below Barbie and Oppenheimer.
After its success in theaters, Jawan was released on Netflix and made records on OTT as well. The film was released online on SRK's 58th birthday.
Gadar 2
Sunny Deol's movie Gadar 2 ranks eighth on the most searched movies list of this year. The film earned ₹691 crore worldwide and starred Ameesha Patel, Utkarsha Sharma, and Simrat Kaur alongside Sunny Deol. After its successful theatrical run, it was released on the OTT platform Zee5.
Pathaan
Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film Pathaan also made it to the list of most searched movies list of this year in tenth position. It left everyone speechless when it crossed ₹1000 crore at the worldwide box office just at the beginning of the year. It was also SRK's most successful film till Jawan overtook it. Pathaan is now available to watch online on Prime Video.
