K R Gokul, portraying the character of Hakim in Blessy's 'Aadujeevitham,' recently unveiled a transformative image of himself for the film, igniting a viral sensation on various social media platforms. Before the release of Aadujeevitham, the images showcasing Prithviraj's remarkable physical transformation prompted fans and the general audience to draw comparisons with Hollywood star Christian Bale, who underwent significant weight loss for his role in Machinist. However, it was another actor from Aadujeevitham who found inspiration in the Batman actor.
The picture has captured attention for its striking portrayal of Gokul's physical metamorphosis to fully inhabit his character. In a recent social media update, Gokul revealed his significant weight loss. The actor attributed his transformation to Christian Bale's portrayal in Machinist, sharing a picture emulating Bale's iconic pose from the film and elaborating on his source of inspiration in a detailed post. "In preparing for my role in the movie Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life, I sought inspiration from Christian Bale’s remarkable dedication. His portrayal of an insomniac, Trevor Reznik, in the 2004 thriller, The Machinist, where he dropped 28 kg through a strict diet of water, an apple and one cup of coffee daily, deeply impressed me."
"Bale’s performance elevated the film to cult status, and I offer this tribute to his talent and artistry as a devoted admirer of his work," he added.

About Aadujeevitham
It is a cinematic adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam novel of the same name, written by Benyamin in 2008. The novel narrates the true story of Najeeb, a Malayali migrant laborer who, like many others, was coerced into servitude as a goatherd in the deserts of Saudi Arabia by native Arabs.
Speaking about Aadujeevitham, Prithviraj told ANI, "In 2008, when Blessy first told me about doing this movie, my initial thought was, how do I approach this character? Do I come down and talk to you about who you really are, or do I try to understand the character Najeeb that Benyamin wrote or the Najeeb that Blessy has in his mind? This was the confusion I had."
"Finally, Blessy and I decided that I should play the Najeeb I visualise in my mind based on the novel and the Najeeb that Blessy visualised. That's the Najeeb you'll see in the movie. There is a big difference," he added.
