Aadujeevitham OTT Release Delayed: Prithviraj Sukumaran's film premiered in theaters on March 28, 2024, offering audiences a captivating and immersive cinematic journey. Initially, there were reports indicating that the movie would also be available on OTT platforms starting around May, but this did not happen, disappointing fans. The Malayalam survival drama film directed, written, and co-produced by Blessy, has not yet secured an online platform for streaming.
Aadujeevitham OTT Release Delayed
Disney+ Hotstar does not hold the rights to 'Aadujeevitham'. Initial reports indicating the film would start streaming on OTT platforms from May 26 have not been officially confirmed by the makers. As of now, fans are still awaiting official updates on the film's digital release.
According to Filmybeat, the OTT rights deal for 'Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life)' is currently pending. The delay is linked to the filmmakers' recent engagement with a major studio for their Oscar campaign, with several related aspects still under negotiation. As the film aims for international recognition and broader distribution beyond traditional theaters, discussions for OTT and satellite distribution are expected to proceed once these crucial agreements are finalised.

Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life is based on the 2008 best-selling Malayalam novel of the same name by Benyamin, which recounts the real-life story of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer subjected to forced labor in Saudi Arabia as a goatherd on isolated desert farms by native Arabs. The movie stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and K. R. Gokul in leading roles, with Talib Al Balushi, Rik Aby, Amala Paul, and Shobha Mohan in supporting roles. Upon its global release, Aadujeevitham has grossed over Rs 160 crore to date, making it the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2024.
According to the plot-- in Saudi Arabia, Najeeb (Prithviraj) and Hakim (K. R. Gokul), two Malayali immigrants, arrive with visas arranged by Sreekumar but are mistaken for their employer by a local Arab. Najeeb ends up working in a remote desert goat herd, enduring harsh conditions and isolation. After witnessing hardships and escaping with Hakim and Ibrahim Khadiri's help, their journey turns perilous. Despite challenges, Najeeb eventually finds refuge and returns home after facing imprisonment due to documentation issues.
