About Aamar Boss

Aamar Boss, which is based on social criticism and profound emotional insight, not only brings Rakhee Gulzar back to a new generation of viewers but also highlights her timeless elegance, understatement, and extraordinary professionalism.

Rakhee Gulzar makes a triumphant comeback to the big screen after a 22-year break in Aamar Boss, directed by the celebrated team of Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy. This is one of the most poignant cinematic comebacks in recent memory.

Given the delicate India-Pakistan tensions, production companies are choosing over-the-top (OTT) distribution over theatrical release, marking a difficult transition in the entertainment business at the time of this milestone. In a joint statement, directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee said, "Every story finds its right platform. Films like Aamar Boss thrive on the collective laughter, tears, and warmth of a theatre. We're deeply grateful that audiences chose to embrace this journey on the big screen (sic)."
