Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan has been making headlines since the news broke about his Bollywood debut. During his three years of studies in dramatics and graduation, he also dedicated several years in theatre to polish his acting craft. Not only in theatres, Junaid also tried to explore opportunities in Bollywood. However, he failed to accomplish his stint in the film industry. Junaid faced seven rejections including from his father's home production Laal Singh Chadda. As per sources, the opportunity to be part of Maharaj came with certain conditions.

A source close to the industry revealed, “Junaid auditioned a lot but faced numerous rejections, including from his father's home production Laal Singh Chadda. Despite encountering seven significant rejections, the producer of his upcoming film stumbled upon one of Junaid's previous audition tapes, offering him to audition. However, even this opportunity came with certain conditions.”

Recently, Netflix and Yash Raj Films shared the poster of Maharaj on their social media accounts. They captioned the post, “The fight for the truth between a powerful man and a fearless journalist. Based on true events from the 1860s - Maharaj is releasing on 14 June, only on Netflix!”
