Abhishek Bachchan And R Balki’s Latest Collaboration ‘Ghoomar’ Set To Release On This Date

Abhishek Bachchan's long-awaited collaboration with director R Balki is all set to hit theaters on August 18. Titled 'Ghoomar', the film will co-star actress Saiyami Kher in the lead role and will showcase Abhishek Bachchan in the role of a strict and sturdy cricket coach.

Junior Bachchan was last seen as a lead actor in the 2022 release 'Dasvi' co-starring Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam. Now, after a break of one year, the actor is back again with Saiyami Kher. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.

'Ghoomar' is inspired by the incredible achievement of Karoly Takacs, a special athlete who has achieved more than when they were called 'normal.' Abhishek Bachchan took the official announcement of the release date on his Instagram and wrote, "Lefty hai? Left hi hai.
#GhoomerInCinemas on 18th August!"

R Balki's directorials are always known to break the stereotypes in society. He always chooses such stories which are strongly hush-hush or are called 'shameful' by Indian society. Some of his blockbusters are 'Mission Mangal', 'Paa', 'Lust Stories', 'English Vinglish', 'Ki & Ka', and several others.

However, 'Ghoomar' will be facing intense competition at the time of its release, as established films will be gracing a week before the release of the film including 'OMG 2', 'Gadar 2', 'Bholaa Shankar', 'Jailer', 'Dream Girl 2', 'Tariq', and 'Ustaad' respectively.
