'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' television show has reached a milestone after completing 15 glorious years and is still running strong despite all controversies and drama. Recently, during a special event of the show, the producer of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', Asit Modi was delighted to announce the return of actress Disha Vakani aka 'Dayaben' back on the show.

Disha Vakani essayed the role of 'Dayaben' and had been the heart of the show leaving an indelible mark on the audience with her excellent comic timing and laugh which stole the charm of the show.

Asit Modi took the opportunity and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the audience and extended congratulations to all the cast and crew of the show for achieving such a remarkable feat and thus announced her much-awaited comeback.

The lead character of the show, Dilip Joshi essaying the role of Jhethalal in the show also thanked all his fans for their admiration and appreciation and promised his fans to continue the triumph.

The inspiration of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' was inspired by the iconic columns of Taarak Bhai Mehta and was given a fresh touch for the television show and thus was showcased in front of the audience.

The first episode of the show was released on July 28, 2008, and since then the television show has been soaring high gaining a cult classic and meme stature on social media. As the show moves forward, several lead actors have been replaced, however, the iconic character of 'Dayaben' was never replaced with any other actor due to the mass fan-following of Disha Vakani.

Becoming a common household name, the actress will mark her return after a six year long break from the show and thus will take back her role as the iconic 'Dayaben.'
