The 'Housefull' franchise is one of the most popular comedy film series in Bollywood and is all set to return with its fifth instalment. The movie will hit the theatres in 2025 and Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh will join the movie again. It has been reported that Abhishek Bachchan will also be seen in 'Houseful 5'.

The production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment officially announced the news on Instagram. It wrote, "We’re pleased to announce @bachchan joining the Housefull fam once again, we’re happy to have you back."

The movie will release on June 6, 2025. After announcing the release date, producer Sajid Nadiadwala issued an official statement about what the audience should expect from 'Housefull 5'. The statement reads, "The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025."

'Housefull 5' was earlier scheduled to release on Diwali 2024.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in 'Ghoomer', which is streaming on Zee5. He will next star in Prime Video's movie 'Be Happy'. He will also be seen in Shootjit Sircar's movie.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Mission Raniganj' along with Parineeti Chopra. The movie did not perform well at the box office and is currently streaming on Netflix. He was also seen in 'OMG 2' along with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. He will next star in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', 'Hera Pheri 3', 'Welcome To The Jungle' and 'Jolly LLB 3'.

Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in the Marathi film 'Ved', which was also his directorial debut. The movie also stars Genelia D'Souza and Jiya Shankar in the lead roles and is a remake of the 2019 hit Telugu film 'Majili'. He will next star in 'Kakuda' and 'Visfot'.
