Aditya Dhar Spent His Birthday Finishing Dhurandhar 2; Director Finally Reacts To Viral ‘Peak Detailing’ Memes

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar chose to spend his 43rd birthday working rather than celebrating, as he focused on completing the final stages of his upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The movie is the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar and is scheduled to release in cinemas on March 19. The director shared a heartfelt message with fans on social media, revealing that he was busy putting the finishing touches on the film. In the note, Dhar reflected on the past year and expressed gratitude for the journey and the overwhelming support he has received.

“As I spend my birthday adding the final touches on Dhurandhar The Revenge, I find myself pausing for a moment and looking back at the phenomenal year that has gone by,” he wrote. Looking back at the past year, Dhar said he felt deeply thankful for the success of the film and the people who supported him throughout the process. He credited his team for standing by him and acknowledged the faith audiences have shown in his work over the years.

The filmmaker also addressed the massive response he has received from fans online. According to Dhar, reading countless messages, posts, and fan reactions on social media filled him with happiness and gratitude. He also reacted to the viral memes about his filmmaking style, especially the widely shared phrase “peak detailing,” which fans often use to describe the level of detail in his films. Dhar said that even though he could not respond to every message personally, he truly appreciated the love and encouragement people had sent his way.

He further reflected on the unpredictable nature of the film industry and said the support from audiences means everything to him. “None of this I take for granted,” he wrote, adding that filmmaking always involves risks and uncertainty.

The sequel stars Ranveer Singh returning as Hamza Mazari. The film also features Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan in key roles. Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, with paid preview shows reportedly planned a day before its theatrical release.
