Ae Watan Mere Watan Release Date Out: Sara Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of her upcoming OTT movie 'Ae Watan Mere Watan'. The movie has been creating buzz ever since its announcement and the makers have finally announced its release date along with a motion poster. 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' is set in the pre-independence era and is reportedly based on the life of Usha Mehta who started an underground radio station in 1942.

'Ae Watan Mere Watan' will release on Prime Video on March 21.
Announcing the release date, Prime Video India wrote, "resilience in her voice, and the spirit of freedom in her heart, hear what she has to say to you this. #WorldRadioDay."

Talking about the movie, Karan Johar said in a statement, "At Dharmatic Entertainment, we have always taken pride in bringing forth stories that are told from the heart and Ae Watan Mere Watan exemplifies that."

The movie's first song 'Qatra Qatra' was launched at the 54th International Film Festival of India. At the event, Sara Ali Khan said, "This is a story that deserves to be told. There is so much history that this country has to offer, so many unsung heroes. Their stories have the ability to inspire the nation and the coming generations. Through this film we are attempting to showcase their sacrifices, their bravery and their love for the nation, during the freedom struggle. To me, Ae Watan Mere Watan is the ultimate love story – love for your country is the epitome of love and that is what the story is about.”
On the work front, Sara will next star in 'Murder Mubarak', which will release on Netflix.
