The pre-release single to K-pop girl group aespa's upcoming mini-album MY WORLD called Welcome To MY World has been released along with its music video.

Aespa released their pre-release single Welcome to MY World and its music video on May 2 at 6 pm KST (2.30 pm IST). This is the first glimpse of their upcoming mini-album MY WORLD which is set to release on May 8 at 6pm KST with the lead single Spicy.

The latest aespa music video showcases the members going on a road trip to a forest and immersing themselves in nature, but there's an eerie atmosphere that follows them throughout the journey. It's later revealed that the mysterious aura is nævis, a personified AI system that's part of the group's storyline.

"Hey baby, welcome to why world / Beyond where feet fear to tread / It's a new world / You and me, face to face / In different languages / Your truth remains the same," they sing on the dreamy chorus.

Aespa had previously revealed the track list for their upcoming mini-album MY WORLD on their website aespa.com through an interactive photoset. Apart from the pre-release single Welcome To MY World and lead single Spicy, the album will also feature B-sides such as Salty & Sweet, Thirsty, I'm Unhappy, and Till We Meet Again.

In February, aespa held their SYNK: Hyper Line concert, where they performed all four B-sides and some other unreleased songs. However, the release date of the rest of the previewed tracks is currently unknown, which also includes solo songs by each member of the group.

aespa is set to release their third mini-album, MY WORLD, which comes nine months after their previous comeback with Girls in July last year. The album was led by two singles, Life’s Too Short and Girls, with B-side Illusion also promoted by the group. NME named Illusion as one of the best K-pop songs of 2022.

For the unversed, aespa has four members: Karina, Giselle, Winter and NingNing. They debuted on November 17, 2020 with the digital single Black Mamba.
