Met Gala 2023 is around the corner. The world's biggest costume event is all set to take place on May 1, this year. Earlier, it was confirmed that Alia Bhatt will be making her Met Gala debut, and recently, it has been announced that Priyanka Chopra will also make a stunning appearance at the grand event.

Riz Ahmed's Immigrant Labourer Dress

Celebrities are never shy to make political statements with their attires. At Met Gala 2022, British-Pakistani actor Riz Ahmed donned a navy blue co-ord set which he paired with a white tank top and knee-high boots. He donned the respective outfit to pay homage to immigrant workers.

Eric Adams 'End Gun Violence' Tuxedo

In the same year, the former Brooklyn Borough President and then newly elected mayor donned a black tuxedo that highlighted longstanding struggles with gun violence. He collaborated with a New York City-based Nigerian artist for his look of the night. The outfit features a customized lining with "End Gun Violence" plastered on the back.

Dan Levy's 2021 Met Gala Look

At the 2021 Met Gala event, actor Dan Levy made heads turn with his custom-made suit featuring two men kissing. According to Levy, the outfit—created by the Spanish house Loewe—was meant to make a declarative and proud statement of queer love.

Carolyn Maloney's Clutch

At 2021 Met Gala, Congresswoman Carolyn Bosher Maloneydonned a multicolored flowy gown as he paid homage to the women's rights movement. The dressed had "Equal Rights For Women," written all over it. For the unversed, Equal Rights Amendment was proposed to the US Constitution that aims to guarantee equal legal rights.

Rihanna is undoubtedly the goddess of the Met Gala. In 2018, she opted for a pope-inspired white beaded Margiela corset mini dress which she paired with a bishop's hat.
