He gets assigned the case to track down a psychotic killer who targets schoolgirls. The movie was remade in Hindi as 'Cuttputlli', starring Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet. The movie is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

2. Imaikkaa Nodigal

'Imaikkaa Nodigal' revolves around Anjali Vikramadithyan, a CBI officer, who sets out to track down a serial killer who the police claim to have killed years ago. Things turn upside down when her own family becomes a target. The movie stars Nayanthara in the lead role with Atharvaa, Raashii Khanna and Anurag Kashyap in supporting roles. It is streaming on Prime Video.

3. 8 Thottakkal

Starring Vetri, Aparna Balamurali, Nassar and M. S. Bhaskar and Meera Mithun in the lead role, '8 Thottakkal' revolves around a depressed and loyal policeman who loses his gun to the killer. Things take a dark turn when the person who stole the gun goes on a killing spree. It is loosely inspired by the 1949 Japanese movie 'Stray Dog' and was remade in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. It is streaming on Zee5 and Hotstar.

4. Netrikann

'Netrikann' revolves around a blind former policewoman, who becomes a prime witness to a horrific case of serial abduction where the culprit has unleashed a reign of terror in the city of Chennai. The movie is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. It is the remake of the 2011 South Korean film 'Blind', which was also remade in Hindi with Sonam Kapoor in the lead. The movie stars Nayanthara, Ajmal Ameer, K. Manikandan, and Saran Shakthi.

5. Yuddham Sei

'Yuddham Sei' revolves around JK, a CID officer, who is forced to take up a case while on the lookout for his own missing sister. While investigating, he realises there is more to the case and goes on to unveil the mystery. It is streaming on Zee5 and Hotstar. The movie stars Cheran, Dipa Shah, Y. G. Mahendra, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Jayaprakash, and Selva.
