AICWA has released a formal advisory at Indian film producers and production companies, asking to refrain from shooting in regions located near the India-Pakistan border. AICWA underscored the importance of prioritising national security and warned that operating near the border could not only risk lives but also interfere with defense efforts by the Indian Armed Forces.
The advisory read, “The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has issued an official advisory urging all Indian film producers and production houses to avoid shooting near sensitive India-Pakistan border regions, including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. AICWA specifically emphasizes that areas along the border in these states and cities should be considered high-alert zones, and filmmakers are advised to refrain from conducting shoots in these locations.”
“In view of the current situation along the India-Pakistan border, AICWA emphasizes the importance of prioritizing national security over commercial interests. The association has highlighted that the safety of film crews, artists, and technicians should remain paramount, and any production activities near conflict zones can pose serious risks,” the advisory further stated.
It stated, “AICWA further advised all production teams to stay informed about the latest security advisories issued by the government and local authorities. Responsible filmmaking in times of heightened tension means avoiding unnecessary exposure to danger. The association also expressed its solidarity with the Indian armed forces, acknowledging their dedication and sacrifice in protecting the nation. AICWA called upon the film industry to demonstrate unity and responsibility in supporting the country’s security efforts.”

Pakistan has been launching drone and missile attacks on civilian areas in northern India for the last three nights. However, all of them have been intercepted by the Indian air defence network. Amid the whole tension between India and Pakistan, India has given a stern warning to Pak, stating, “Any future act of terror by Pakistan will be considered an act of war, and India will respond accordingly,” said a source, according to NDTV.
