Ajay Devgn is currently working on several projects back to back including Son of Sardar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. Amid buzz about his upcoming projects, a report by ETimes suggests that Devgn along with Rakul Preet Singh will be shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 in Punjab. A major part of the film will be shot in the rustic location of the state. As per reports, the movie will take the story ahead after the climax of the first part. De De Pyaar De was initially released in 2018 featuring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in lead roles. In the second part of the hit movie, it stars R Madhavan, Arjun Panchal, Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles. 

A source told the portal, “As of now, the production is busy preparing for a 45-50 day schedule in some beautiful and rustic locations in Punjab. While Madhavan, Rakul and the other cast and crew members leave next month for Punjab, Ajay Devgn will be joining after his Son Of Sardar 2 schedule which is being filmed in the United Kingdom.” 

The first part of the movie was directed by Akiv Ali but the sequel has been handed over to Anshul Sharma. It is scheduled to be released in theatres in 2025. 

De De Pyaar De revolves around a rich middle-aged man who falls in love with a girl half of his age. The man later introduces the girl to his family including his ex-wife and children but their unacceptance becomes a wall in their relationship. The movie also starred Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath, Jaaved Jaaferi, Madhumalti Kapoor, Bhavin Bhanushali and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles. It was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore and earned Rs 143 crore at the box office.
