Emergency OTT Release:  Kangana Ranaut’s political drama is all set to release in theatres on 6th September 2024. The movie revolves around the political scenario in 1975 when India’s first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency in the country. The period of Emergency was from 1975 to 1977 for 21 months. The movie has been in the news since its announcement for one or the other reasons. The release date has been pushed several times until it got locked for the 6th of September. 

About Emergency

As the trailer suggests the movie will showcase Indira Gandhi’s leadership during the time of Emergency and the political scenario from 1975 to 1977. It will also show the assassination of the former Prime Minister. Emergency is the darkest period of Indian History, the movie will also focus on Sanjay Gandhi’s role in it. In Emergency, Kangana Ranaut will be seen as Indira Gandhi, Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade plays the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi and Milind Soman as Sam Manekshaw. It also stars Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, Bhumika Chawla, Christophe Guybet, Scott Alexander Young and R Bhakti Klein in key roles. The movie has been directed by Kangana Ranaut herself.

When And Where To Watch Emergency

The much-awaited political drama of the year gets its OTT platform. Netflix has acquired the digital rights of Emergency. As per reports, it will be streaming on the popular OTT platform after two months of its theatrical release.
