In a rare move, producer Anil Sunkara and Akhil Akkineni publicly apologized for the film's shortcomings, attributing its failure to the lack of a finalized script before production began. Their honest admission underscored the crucial need for thorough preparation and a well-planned script before embarking on a film project.
Agent OTT Release Date
The Hindi version of Agent is set to premiere on television soon, a detail we reported a few days ago. Recent reports suggest that the film's OTT release could occur either in mid-July or at the end of the month.
It's worth noting that several similar reports have circulated over the past few months, none of which have materialised. Sony Liv holds the post-theatrical streaming rights for this major release. The official statement regarding Agent’s OTT release is yet awaited.
About Agent
Agent is a Telugu-language action spy film released in 2023, directed by Surender Reddy and written by Vakkantham Vamsi. Starring Akhil Akkineni, Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya, and Vikramjeet Virk, the movie also marks the debut of Vaidya and Morea in Telugu cinema.
The film was announced back in September 2020 and underwent filming across various locations including Hyderabad, Budapest, Visakhapatnam, and Manali. However, its release faced several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other production setbacks.
