Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, R Madhavan Team Up For Karan Johar’s Untitled Film Based On C. Sankaran Nair

Dharma Productions announced their upcoming untitled film based on the life of lawyer and statesman C. Sankaran Nair through their official Instagram account. The film will star Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday. It is set to hit cinemas on March 14, 2025, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.

Dharma Movies announced the project on their official Instagram, revealing it will draw from real events detailed in the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat. The page wrote, "Ek ankahi kahani, ek ansuna sach...Starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan & Ananya Panday - this untitled film is releasing in cinemas on 14th March, 2025. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi."

Reports indicate that the film centers on C. Sankaran Nair's pivotal struggle against the British Empire, particularly focusing on his involvement in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre case. Ananya Panday plays a budding lawyer, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar, who portrays a respected senior lawyer.

Their relationship is built on mentorship rather than romance. The movie explores the historical and legal intricacies surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh incident, highlighting Nair's significant efforts and the obstacles he faced in seeking justice against British colonialism.

Last year, the cast completed an extensive shooting schedule in Delhi before moving to Rewari district in Haryana for key sequences. Notably, filming took place at Rewari railway station and the Rewari Railway Heritage Museum.
