Akshay Kumar unveiled the trailer of Kesari 2 on Thursday in Delhi. At the same event, he responded to a journalist's question regarding the use of a cuss word in the movie's recently unveiled teaser.

Akshay Kumar, who is portraying lawyer S Sankaran Nair in the movie, utters the words 'F*** you' in a sequence that appears in the Kesari sequel's teaser. The actor responded that Britishers labeling us 'slaves' should have been the larger issue when asked about it.

Akshay Kumar questioned the journalist how people could have objected more strongly to the British branding Indians 'slaves' after bringing up the  Jallianwala Bagh massacre. "Haan maine yeh word use kiya. But kamaal ki baat yeh ki aapne yeh cheez dekhi but jo word use kiya tha you are still a slave, that was not a big gaali for you? I think usse badi gaali nahi ho sakti. I would have been happy if you had said they used the word slave rather than talking about f* you. Because according to me, at that time if they had shot with gun also it would have looked insignificant, " he said.

For the unversed, the Amritsar tragedy, in which the British soldiers opened fire on the mob, killing over 1500 persons and wounding over 1200 more, served as the inspiration for Kesari 2.
