Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer 'OMG 2' is scheduled to release on August 11. The film is currently surrounded by issues raised by the Censor Board on the portrayal of Lord Shiva in the film.

The film was reported to be postponed, however, with the new update on the trailer, Censor Board has given a green signal to the makers to release the final trailer. According to a report in India Today, the Censor Board has demanded 35 cuts in the film.

The board has asked for a change in Akshay Kumar's character from essaying the role of Lord Shiva to portrait him being a messenger of Lord Shiva in the film. The trailer of the film will be released on August 3. However, the makers are in no mood to hold a trailer launch of the film. 'OMG 2' has already received a U/A certification.

Talking about 'OMG 2', the film is helmed by Amit Rai and features Akshay Kumar in the avatar of Lord Shiva. It also features Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil in lead roles. 'OMG 2' is a satirical comedy-drama and is the sequel to the 2012 hit film titled 'OMG- Oh My God.' The film is produced by Cape of Good Films Banner, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl, and Ashwin Varde.
