'OMG 2', starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, is currently gearing up for its OTT release. The film has finally received its certification from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). The film’s trailer was attached to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, with a disclaimer attached with it, “main film is yet to be certified.” If the reports are to be believed, the trailer of 'OMG 2' has received the U/A certificate.

In the trailer, Akshay Kumar carried himself as Lord Shiva, but the reports also stated that the CBFC has asked director  Amit Rai to change the actor’s character from Lord Shiva to a Doot (messenger).

The modification appears to be one of the 20 alterations and deletions made to the movie by the Censor Board's review committee last week.

Will OMG 2 Face Postponement?

Earlier, this week, a report stated that the makers are playing to postpone the film’s theatrical release owing to the directed changes by CBFC. A source ETimes, “The makers are of the opinion of shifting the release date from August 11 as they want to fight against the changes suggested by the committee and also line up proper promotions of the film.”
