Akshay Kumar has had a series of flops recently. The actor delivered four back to back underperforming films in a row, including his most recent release, Selfiee. 

In a recent interview, the owner of one of Mumbai’s most popular theatre Gaiety Galaxy, Manoj Desai slammed Akshay Kumar for his frequent visits to the superhit comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show. The theatre owner questioned the Bollywood star for over exposure and asked him whether he gets any profits for the same.

A video of Manoj Desai has been going viral on social media, where he said, “many of my audiences asked me, Akshay Kumar ji appears on The Kapil Sharma Show so frequently, does this suit him? I ask you, does this suit you?”

The theatre owner further revealed that Kapil Sharma called him on his show thrice, but he refused to appear. “I didn’t go because sometimes he appreciates you, and then sometimes he trolls you. What’s wrong with you Akshay Ji?”

“I’m a fan of yours. I request you with folded hands. What kind of films are you making? What’s wrong with you? Please answer my question through your films. Ask Ravish Gupta to give you an interview for me, thankyou,” Manoj Desai said in his interview.

Several fans took to the comments section to react to the video. One user wrote, “Kapil ki galti nahi he but akki ko jyada nahi jana chahiye year ke 1 baar jaye to chalta he.” Another comment read, “Sahi baat kr rhe hai, agar kam public shows me jaaenge to unki value zyada badegi, aur ek aur reason hai ki har 3 mahine me same actor ki film aati jaaegi to films ki value to kam hogi hi.”

Akshay Kumar’s recent film Selfiee failed to create any magic on the big screen and minted just over Rs 10 crore in its opening weekend. The actor will next be seen in the blockbuster comedy film, Hera Pheri 3.
