Actor Akshay Kumar is known for his fitness, healthy lifestyle and disciplined mannerisms both personally and professionally. He has often said that he wakes up at 4 am and sleeps early to remain productive throughout the day. He has always inspired everyone, especially the youth, to maintain discipline in their lives. Recently, Sky Force actor shared his views on other film stars who lack discipline, wake up in the afternoon and arrive late on sets. In his humorous style, he revealed that he doesn’t want to be a ‘star’ who comes out at night; instead he wants to be the sun. Akshay also used Sania Mirza’s success as an example.

When Akshay Kumar was asked about his views on other actors waking up late and arriving late on film sets, he said during a conversation with the Republic Plenary Summit, “First of all, I will say, I don’t want to be a star. Because stars raat mein nikalte hain. (Because stars come out at night.) I want to be the sun. I don’t want to be the star."

To prove his point about how discipline is important in life, he cited Sania Mirza’s example, who was also present at the event. “And about what you asked regarding discipline—Sania ji is sitting here. She is a sportswoman. She has done so wonderfully for our country. How important is discipline? Ask her if she reached where she is without discipline. It is not possible! She had to be disciplined, get up in the morning, and play tennis. Was it easy? Discipline is indeed an important thing,” he continued.

Akshay also opened up about how he is done with people asking him about his early sleeping schedule. Addressing this, he added, “The worst thing is that a lot of media ask this question, ‘Sir, why do you sleep so early?’ Toh bete main kya karu? How can this be a question? Don’t you think they should ask the person why they sleep so late? They should be asking that, but things have changed. It is important to change this.”
Akshay has always impressed his fans and colleagues with his fitness and healthy routine.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is gearing up for Bhooth Bangla, which Priyadarshan directs and which also stars Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and others. He also has Housefull 5, Welcome To The Jungle, and Kannappa, which marks his Telugu cinema debut, in the pipeline.
