Ali Abbas Zafar (director of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan), Tinu Desai (director of Mission Raniganj) and several other directors have filed complaints against Pooja Entertainment for non-payment of fees. This issue has escalated to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), as many technicians and crew members have reported similar grievances.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, failed to perform well at the box office, leaving many involved in its production unpaid for their efforts. Following the film's release on April 11, 2024, Zafar’s complaint highlights the distressing situation faced by the crew, many of whom have shared stories of severe financial strain. Some reported having to sell their homes and seek assistance for unpaid medical bills.

FWICE has confirmed receiving multiple complaints against Vashu Bhagnani, the producer behind Pooja Entertainment, including those from Desai regarding outstanding payments for Mission Raniganj, released on October 6, 2023. Vikas Behl, director of Ganpat, which premiered on October 20, 2023, has also raised similar concerns.

In their statement, FWICE acknowledged the mounting complaints from various industry professionals. They stated, "We have gone through all the contracts and concluded that a substantial amount is owed to technicians, artists and vendors by the producer." The federation expressed hope that Vashu Bhagnani would step forward to resolve these payment issues, emphasising that everyone deserves to be compensated for their work.
