Alia Bhatt has been busy promoting her latest release Jigra, but the conversation around her highly anticipated projects continues. One of the most-awaited films on her list is Jee Le Zaraa, which was announced back in 2021 but has faced continuous delays ever since. Recently, in an interview with The Lallantop, Alia addressed the reason behind the hold-up and gave an update on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, which was shelved a few years ago.

When asked about the delay in Jee Le Zaraa, Alia explained that while the film has not yet started shooting, it hasn’t been shelved. She mentioned that one of the biggest challenges has been aligning the schedules of all the key players, which include Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and herself. "It's a film that everyone involved — the actors, producers, and the director — is passionate about. However, it has been logistically difficult to get everyone's dates together. But with the intent and determination of everyone, the film will eventually happen,” Alia shared.

The buddy road-trip movie, directed by Farhan Akhtar, was initially announced in 2021 to mark the 20th anniversary of his directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai. The film would be Farhan’s return to directing after over a decade, but since then, Farhan has announced another major project, Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani, leading to further delays in Jee Le Zaraa.

Alia also reflected on her experience with Inshallah, which was initially set to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and was to co-star Salman Khan. When the film was shelved, it deeply affected her. However, Alia shared that she is now working on a different project with Bhansali titled Love and War, expressing hope that Inshallah may still be made someday. She praised the script, describing it as a beautiful love story. As for Love and War, Alia will be starring alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal, reuniting with Bhansali after her successful collaboration in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Alia is keeping busy with several upcoming projects. She has just wrapped up the first schedule of Alpha, a YRF Spy Universe film directed by Shiv Rawail. Co-starring Sharvari, Alpha is the first female-led movie in the spy universe, showcasing Alia’s versatility in various genres.
