Alia Bhatt holds a prominent status as one of Bollywood's leading actresses, with her exceptional performances consistently receiving acclaim and firmly solidifying her position in the industry. In a recent interview, she nostalgically reflected on the challenges her parents, Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt, encountered during their respective careers.

In a conversation with Elle US, Alia Bhatt talked about her father and said, "He (Mahesh Bhatt) had a bunch of flops at one point; he barely had any money, and he was battling an addiction to alcohol.” She shared that Mahesh eventually gave up drinking.

Alia added, “My parents struggled to get to a point where I could enjoy their privilege. I do recognise that."

Talking about her mom, she said, "She (Soni Razdan) had no connection to films and went from theatres to film studios to television studios to audition. She also couldn’t speak Hindi well, so that was difficult for her. She never became a mainstream heroine. But she worked very hard."
