As reported by Sacnilk, the Tamil film Amaran has achieved remarkable box office success, grossing Rs 155 crores worldwide in just six days. Domestically, the film has raked in an impressive Rs 102.07 crores in India, demonstrating its strong appeal and commercial viability.

Amaran, meaning The Immortal, is a 2024 Tamil biographical war film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, alongside Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose. Based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book "India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes", Amaran brings to life the inspiring story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a courageous military hero.
Marking a significant milestone in Sivakarthikeyan's career, the film was initially announced in January 2022 as Sivakarthikeyan 21, denoting his 21st lead role. The official title, Amaran, was revealed in February 2024, generating immense excitement among fans. The production journey commenced in May 2023 with a picturesque schedule in Kashmir, followed by subsequent shoots in Chennai and Pondicherry. After a year of meticulous filming, the principal photography concluded, shaping the cinematic narrative.
