Pradeep Ranganathan's Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama movie Dragon has achieved impressive feats during its theatrical run at the box office. Released on February 21, the film has garnered positive responses from both audiences and critics alike. Featuring Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles, the film blends romance, fantasy, and humour, offering a fresh addition to Tamil cinema. The film aims to reach the 100 crore mark in India. Amid these accolades, a special one came from Superstar Rajinikanth. Ranganathan shared his excitement on social media and revealed how Thalaivar fulfilled his wish by performing his iconic cigarette style.
Pradeep Ranganathan shared photos of his meeting with Rajinikanth at his residence on his X handle. He was accompanied by the film's producer Archana Kalpathi and director Ashwath Marimuthu. Along with the post, he wrote, "When Thalaivar did that cigarette style, I was done. Thank God."

Filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu also revealed how Rajinikanth praised his story and screenplay for Dragon on his Instagram handle. Archana Kalpathi also expressed gratitude to the superstar for his appreciation of the film.

Dragon, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is backed by AGS Entertainment. Starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, along with KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan, and others in pivotal roles. The movie's plot captivated the audience with the story of how a young man’s life drastically transforms from academics to getting entangled in fraud in pursuit of money and power after a breakup with his girlfriend. On its second Tuesday, Dragon earned around Rs 2.3 crore in all languages, according to Sacnilk. In just 11 days since its release, its collection stands at Rs 75.20 crore, making it one of the most successful Tamil movies.
