Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan reportedly purchased a property near Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. According to The Times Of India report, the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust has bought a 54,454-square-foot plot which is located over 10 km from the Ram Temple. As per reports, the land might be used for establishing a memorial dedicated to the life and literary contributions of Amitabh’s father and late legendary Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. It marks the second main land transaction of the Bachchan family in Ayodhya.

Earlier, Bachchan purchased a 5,372-square-foot plot in Haveli Avadh on January 16 for Rs 4.54 crore before the grand inauguration of Ram Temple in January 2024. As per reports, he has now bought a land in Tihura Manjha for Rs 86 lakh. It is situated approximately 7 Km from Ram Mandir. The land registration was completed on January 31.

On the other hand, the Maharashtra government is in the final stages of securing a deal with Awas Vikas Parishad, as per reports. They want to construct a state guest house within the upcoming greenfield township in Ayodhya.
