Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Animal' became a massive hit and received immense love from the audience. Despite becoming a blockbuster, 'Animal' received criticism due to its misogynistic theme and portrayal of violence. Filmmaker Kiran Rao also talked about the glorification of stalking women as a form of wooing a woman and took the examples of movies like 'Baahubali' and 'Kabir Singh'. The 'Laapataa Ladies' director recently claimed that she never commented on Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The team 'Animal' responded to Kiran Rao's claims on their official social media handle.

Sharing the clip of Kiran Rao's latest interview with The Quint, the team of 'Animal' wrote on X, "Neither we nor our director Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga are making any assumptions Miss @ikiranrao! It’s a fact reported by a very big media channel.”

For the unversed, Kiran Rao told The Quint, "I have never commented on Mr Sandeep’s films because I have never seen them. I have often spoken on misogyny and the representation of women on screen. I have talked about it on various platforms at various times. But I have never taken the name of any film because it is not about the specific film. Why Mr Vanga has assumed that I was talking about his film you’ll have to ask him. I have never seen his film.”

Kiran Rao made this statement on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's comment on Aamir Khan's song 'Khambe jaisi khadi hai'. He said, "One of my ADs saw that article today and spoke to me. Main kehna chahunga uss aurat ko ke jaake Aamir Khan ko pucho ‘Khambe jaisi khadi hai, Ladki hai ya fuljari hai’ woh kya tha? Then come back to me. This is, matlab, is you remember Dil, almost rape attempt tak leke jaake usko ehsaas jatata hai ki isne galat kiya. Aur usko pyar ho jata hai. Yeh sab kya hai?"

On the work front, Sandeep Reddy Vanga will next collaborate with Allu Arjun and Prabhas.
