Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap revealed that once he was ready to replace Lust Stories 2 actress Amruta Subhash in one of his projects. The director said that he worked with Amruta thrice before the project and recalled that she was a simple person. But when he approached her for a film, Amruta’s manager handed him a list of demands after which he called her agent to inform about her replacement. 

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Anurag said “I was doing a film with an actor that I have worked with three times before and I know how simple she is. (I am talking about) Amruta Subhash. Suddenly we were doing something and there was a list of demands that came from the manager. I said, ‘Have you lost it? What is this?’ The list of demands included a single door van, this, that… I called up the manager and said, ‘I am replacing her’.”

He continued, “Amruta asked me what happened, what did she do. She didn’t know her what her own agent has asked. Then she yelled at her agent. Many times this has happened. I directly drop the actors if they demand.”

“The blame on the rising cost also goes to agencies. These agencies who represent make-up artist, hair department and entourage, and they charge them as well. People need to call out agencies too. And I don’t take any bullshit from these agencies. The industry’s health is bad because of these people. It is time we fix this,” Anurag added. 

 
Anurag Kashyap and Amruta Subhash worked on projects like Raman Raghav 2.0, Choked and Sacred Games. Anurag was last seen in Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja. It also starred Abhirami, Mamta Mohandas, Bharathiraja, Munishkanth, Nataraja Subramanian, and Divya Bharathi in prominent roles. Nithilan Swaminathan’s directorial was released in theatres on 14th June.

Amruta Subhash is known for her performance in Bombay Begums, Lust Stories 2, Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd, Dhamaka, Choked, The Booth, Wonder Women, Gully Boy and Raman Raghav 2.0 to name a few.
