Anurag Kashyap Reveals Vicky Kaushal Was Arrested During Gangs Of Wasseypur Movie Shoot: 'Illegal...'

Vicky Kaushal, known for his stellar performances in Bollywood, had an interesting start in the industry as an assistant director. His journey took a surprising turn during the shoot of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', where he faced an unexpected challenge - getting arrested for filming in an illegal sand mining location without permission.

Celebrating the film's 10-year anniversary on Kapil Sharma’s show, director Anurag Kashyap reminisced, "We were shooting in a real location without permission. Once we were shooting we got to know that it’s illegal sand mining. Yes! Sand mining was being done by the mafia and during this time Vicky was arrested."

Despite this early setback, Vicky Kaushal's career soared with his acting debut in 'Masaan' (2015), marking the beginning of a successful journey in Bollywood. He has since become a household name, known for his diverse roles and exceptional talent.

He is also set to star in Karan Johar’s untitled production with Tripti Dimri, as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Love & War' alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
