Vicky Kaushal, known for his stellar performances in Bollywood, had an interesting start in the industry as an assistant director. His journey took a surprising turn during the shoot of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', where he faced an unexpected challenge - getting arrested for filming in an illegal sand mining location without permission.

Celebrating the film's 10-year anniversary on Kapil Sharma’s show, director Anurag Kashyap reminisced, "We were shooting in a real location without permission. Once we were shooting we got to know that it’s illegal sand mining. Yes! Sand mining was being done by the mafia and during this time Vicky was arrested."

Despite this early setback, Vicky Kaushal's career soared with his acting debut in 'Masaan' (2015), marking the beginning of a successful journey in Bollywood. He has since become a household name, known for his diverse roles and exceptional talent.

Currently, Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for his upcoming film 'Chhava', a historical drama where he will portray the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale. Fans are eagerly anticipating this unique historical drama, which is set to release on December 6, 2024.

Apart from 'Chhava', Vicky Kaushal has an exciting lineup of projects, including 'Mr. Lele', a comedy-drama with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar, and 'Lahore 1947', where he will share the screen with Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol. He is also set to star in Karan Johar’s untitled production with Tripti Dimri, as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Love & War' alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
