Anushka Sharma will be soon headed to the French Riviera later this month as the actress will be making her Cannes Film Festival debut where she will be part of an event to honor women in cinema with Oscar winner Kate Winslet.
Anushka Sharma will be marking her attendance at the festival which is confirmed by French Ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenain, who earlier met the actor and her husband-cricketer Virat Kohli ahead of her trip.

Taking it to the official account of the ambassador on Twitter, he wrote, "A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma! I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka's trip to #CannesFilmFestival."
He also shared a picture with the duo, where the ambassador was dressed in a light brown suit, where Virat Kohli was seen in a brown polo shirt with black pants, and Anushka Sharma wore a blue shirt with black pants
Soon fans took over the comment section, where one social media user wrote, "Thanks for sharing this newssssss." While another user wrote, "Omghhh sooo exciteddd." Yet another social media fan wrote, "King and Queen."
Virat Kohli is currently busy playing in the Indian Premier League this month, where he is the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and he won't be able to accompany Anushka Sharma for the film festival.
Talking about the Cannes Film Festival, the 70th edition of the festival will take place from May 16 to May 27, 2023, where actors like Aishwarya Rai, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, and Sharmila Tagore have served on the jury for the prestigious French festival.
Several other celebrities from Bollywood have attended the event including Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Pooja Hegde, Hina Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Aditi Rao Hydari, Katrina Kaif have also attended the festival and walked the red carpet as part of the other fashion or luxury brand deals. The Indian films 'Kennedy and Agra' will be screened this year at Cannes.
Talking about Anushka Sharma's professional front, the actress was last seen in Anand L Rai's 'Zero' alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She also made a cameo in Anvita Dutt's 'Qala' featuring Tripti Dimri and Bilal Khan.
The actress will next be seen in the Netflix release 'Chakda Xpress' essaying the role of cricketer Jhula Goswami.
