Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid, dropped her first YouTube video, sharing her thoughts on the controversy surrounding Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent. On Wednesday, Apoorva Mukhija announced on her Instagram handle that she would go live on her YouTube channel to share her take on the India's Got Latent controversy. The YouTube video, titled “Till I Say,” revealed how she decided to participate in Samay Raina's show. Apoorva went on to explain what happened during the show, where her remarks received backlash and led to legal actions. Speaking about a comment made by a boy about her vagina and sharing her reaction, she said, "You don’t expect that statement in front of a live audience. When I said that, it genuinely didn’t come from a place of being funny or creating a moment on Latent or being savage, it genuinely came from anger and retaliation."

She further added, "My intention was not to hurt anybody except for that guy’s ego, but irrespective of my intention, I have hurt a lot of people. And that is honestly the last thing I want to do. I genuinely create content to entertain people and make them laugh. I never wanted to hurt anybody. I am very, very sorry. I should have been more mindful about my words, but I have learned my lesson, and I promise I will do better going forward."

She also shared how shocked she was after hearing that an FIR had been filed against her. Apoorva explained how this situation had an emotional toll on her family. She also got emotional while sharing her story during this tough time.

Apoorva is one of the most popular social media influencers, with over 3 million followers on Instagram. On Tuesday, she shared a “Trigger Warning” post containing horrific messages, including acid attack threats, rape threats, and death threats.

After her appearance on Samay Raina's show, she has come under public scrutiny for her actions. She was accused of making an objectionable comment during the India's Got Latent episode in February. Along with panelists Jaspreet Singh and content creator Ashish Chanchlani, she was summoned by the National Commission for Women (NCW) and police, alongside producers Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra.
