Baba Siddique Death:  Former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique was shot dead by unidentified attackers in Mumbai on October 12. He was a three-time MLA from Bandra West. He joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP in February this year after he resigned from the Congress. Siddique was also a known personality in the Bollywood industry as he was closely associated with several celebrities including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. He used to throw an Eid party every year which was attended by popular Bollywood celebrities. After his demise, the Hindi film industry mourned his death through social media. 

Riteish Deshmukh took to X and wrote “Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to learn about the tragic demise of Shri #BabaSiddique ji - My heart goes out to @zeeshan_iyc and the entire family- May god give them strength to brave this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice.” 

Sanjay Dutt’s sister and former member of Lok Sabha Priya Dutt wrote on X “Today, I’m shaken by the news of Baba Siddique’s tragic death; it has shocked me. Baba was more than a political associate; he was family. To my father, Baba Siddique was like a son, and to me, he was a brother and a dear friend. Throughout my father’s political journey and beyond, he stood steadfast by his side. When I entered politics, he guided me through its ups and downs, offering his unwavering support. His loss feels like the departure of a family member. My heart bleeds for Bhabhi, Zeeshan, and Arshia. May God grant them the resilience to bear this immense sorrow. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Farewell, dear brother.” She also visited Baba Siddique’s family at the Lilavati hospital. 

Shamita Shetty wrote, “Shocked to hear about Baba Siddique.. !! What’s hapn!!! May his soul rest in peace n may god give his family the strength to deal with this terrible loss !! #ripbabasiddique.”

Celebrities like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Veer Pahariya and Raj Kundra visited the hospital to meet the family of the former Minister. Shilpa was seen breaking down in her car when she left the hospital.
