Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 3: Rajinikanth-led Tamil movie has been roaring at the ticket windows since its release. The action crime drama hit the silver screens on October 10 (Thursday). TJ Gnanavel's directorial was made on a budget of Rs 160 crore with an ensemble of a renowned star cast. The much-awaited film has been receiving mixed responses from the audience and the critics. It had a grand opening at the ticket windows and with the growing box office numbers, it seems the movie will soon cross the Rs 100 crore mark.

As per Sacnilk, Rajinikanth’s Tamil movie earned Rs 26 crore on Day 3. The net collection of Vettaiyan stands at Rs 81.70 crore. The film had an overall 63.81 per cent Tamil occupancy on its first Saturday, 38.97 per cent Telugu Occupancy and 20.94 per cent Hindi occupancy. 

About Vettaiyan

The plot follows the story of a drug trade incident discovered by a government school teacher occurring at a place near her school. The investigation then has been handed over to an honest police officer who is known for his controversial methods of handling cases and has done several encounter killings throughout his career. While investigating the drug trade case, he found out that a web of crimes had been hidden underneath. The movie stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Dushara Vijayan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh and Rana Daggubati in key roles. It has been written and directed by TJ Gnanavel. The music score was done by Anirudh Ravichander.
