Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and director Rohit Shetty attended the grand Dussehra celebration at the iconic Red Fort in Delhi on October 12, 2024. The trio was invited to perform the symbolic Ravan Dahan as part of the festivities, which aligns with the themes of their upcoming film Singham Again. This ceremony, organized by the Lav Kush Ramlila Committee, is a key event during Dussehra, celebrating the victory of good over evil.
Ajay Devgn, who plays the lead role of DCP Bajirao Singham in the film, took centre stage at the event, channelling his character’s righteous persona inspired by Lord Ram. Kareena Kapoor, who plays his on-screen wife Avni Kamat, drew parallels to Goddess Sita in her stunning purple saree. Director Rohit Shetty, known for his action-packed films, was also present, donning a traditional black sherwani. The appearance served as a pre-release promotional event for Singham Again, which is set to hit theatres on Diwali, November 1, 2024.

The Singham Again team was honoured by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who joined them on stage. Together, they lit up the event, with Ajay Devgn taking the lead in performing Ravan Dahan, symbolizing the defeat of evil. The event drew a large crowd, who eagerly recorded the special moment, capturing the cast’s participation in the ceremony.
Singham Again marks the third instalment of Rohit Shetty’s Singham franchise and the fifth film in his cop universe. The movie brings together a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor. Arjun plays the antagonist, while Akshay Kumar portrays Jatayu, Ranveer Singh steps into the role of Hanuman, and Tiger Shroff takes on the part of Lakshman.
The movie's trailer, which was unveiled in Mumbai, teases an action-packed narrative with strong references to the Ramayana. Ajay Devgn’s character, Bajirao Singham, sets out on a mission to rescue his wife, Avni, drawing direct parallels to Lord Ram's journey to save Sita. The film’s Ramayana-inspired themes, paired with its action-packed storyline, have generated immense anticipation among fans.
