Baba Siddique's Death: Mumbai was shaken on Saturday evening as news broke about the death of senior NCP leader Baba Siddique after he was fatally attacked in Bandra East. The incident prompted an immediate reaction from political figures and Bollywood celebrities alike. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alongside popular actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where Siddique had been taken for emergency treatment.

Reports suggest that Baba Siddique, who was part of the Ajit Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was attacked by unidentified assailants who fired multiple rounds at him. A police official confirmed, “Two to three rounds were fired. The investigation is ongoing as police teams have been dispatched to the area.”

In light of this tragic event, Salman Khan reportedly cancelled the shooting for the latest season of Bigg Boss. The news of Baba Siddique's death deeply affected Khan, who is known for his close ties with the late politician. His decision to halt the shoot reflects the impact of this loss on both personal and professional levels within the industry.

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan's presence at the hospital drew significant attention, highlighting the close relationships they shared with the late politician. Both actors have attended Baba Siddique’s annual Iftar parties in the past, where Bollywood and political elites frequently come together. Their visit to the hospital reflected the deep personal bond they shared with the NCP leader.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his deep concern and grief over the incident. Addressing the media, he stated, “This is a very unfortunate incident. I have personally spoken to the doctors and the police handling the case. So far, two people have been arrested. The accused are from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, while a third suspect is currently absconding. We have ordered the Mumbai Police to ensure that strict action is taken, and I am confident that the third accused will be apprehended soon.”

The motive behind the attack is still unclear. However, there are rising speculations about potential connections to criminal gangs. Some sources have raised questions about whether the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has had past tensions involving Salman Khan, could be involved. Authorities are actively investigating the matter, with two suspects already in custody and efforts to apprehend the third underway.
